I've never received one of these before, but then I've never booked a flight direct with QF before so maybe thats it.

I'm not impressed with the system if it can be addressed to me in the email, but start off Dear Ms Tooner:(

I've been getting these for a couple of months now.. it got a bit confused at christmas time when i had 3 of us booked..

Yes, I've had a bunch of 'em...guess, as you say, must be when booked direct via QF. Nice touch, I think. :)

As for being addressed to Ms Tooner, I guess they know who wears the pants in the Tooner household! :p

Enjoy the trip.

I just realised my post sounded grumpy about receiving the message. Oops, the study is getting to me now:evil:. I think the email is great; I was just amazed at how it was all mixed up.

As for the issue of the pants, I've been resisting for some time, but I guess its all over now;)

Yes I have been receiving the departure information emails for domestic bookings since the middle of last year. I don't recall receiving any for international bookings though.

The departure information emails are quite handy but unfortunately Qantas only ever sends an email for the first flight of an itinerary.

True, and even then it seems a bit random as to whether you get one or not. I have had them sometimes, and not other times....
