QF codeshare flight with EK - can't OLCI?

I have a BNE-SIN flight booked with EK but on a QF plane. EK website directs me to QF site for online check-in but QF site says to check in at the airport.

Is it the case that QF no longer allows online check-in for flights booked with EK? Feels like the EK/QF partnership is getting less coordinated/convenient nowadays.
 
Are you on the QF code or the EK codeshare?

You may not be able to use QF OLCI on codeshare flights.
 
I presume this is an EK flight number on QF metal.

Have you tried to OLCI using the Qantas PNR?
 
I didn't think you could OLCI for any QF Int flights bar NZ

the other week my Sister flew QF MEL-SIN and was unable to OLCI also. It may be a SIN requirement also. You know, verify passport etc in person.

You can’t use the app to OLCI for international flights, but no issues using the website. It’s a pity as I like to keep BP in my Apple wallet. Sentimentalist I know.

More likely to be a glitch with OLCI in the case of your sister instead of any restriction.

Realised what the issue was - EK check-in times were different to QF. EK check-in is as early as 48 hours before flight. So if you book with EK but on QF metal, EK will send you an update 48 hours before your flight saying you can check in which is why when I went to the check-in page in QF and moused over the "check-in" button, it says check-in online. It's only when it is 24 hours before the flight will the OLCI on QF be opened. The confusion here is that the mouse-over pop-up message should say something like "online check in opens 24 hours before flight" instead of "check-in at airport".
