I have a JASA booked for mid May PER-MEL-BNE return.
QF emailed me this morning stating that my return flight to PER which was going to be via MEL has been changed to a direct flight BNE - PER.
I obviously incurred a greater point cost (actually spent $$ to reduce the points to the minimum 72 000) to go via the higher SC yielding route.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them, and if QF are going to give me the extra 60 SCs for the original routing, or am I going to have to fight this?
Am going to need every last SC to make SG for the first time this year.
Thanks!

Email the FF service centre after the flight and ask them nicely for the "original routing credit", should not be a problem.

How soon before the journey is it?

Were any of your original flights cancelled?

If not then I would be calling and politely but firmly telling them you booked the routing for a specific purpose and for them to put you back on the original flights.

If a flight has been canceled or changed, research options to keep the original routing, call up, tell hem you booked the routing for a specific purpose and offer your solutions.

Agree with serfty. QF might "try things on"... but will respond to a "push-back"

Had this happen for a paid flight fixed very fast. No reason for a difference with a ASA

Call up the service desk and ask either to be moved onto your original flights, failing that ask for original routing credits, as there is no reason why you shouldn't receive the Points + SC's that you paid for...
I've never had a problem getting them issued when moved between flights in the past.

Agree with others - they can't have it both ways there. Research if the original flights have been cancelled entirely, if they have then you have right to original routing credit. If not then instruct them to put you back onto your originally booked flights.
