Has anyone ever sat in one of these?

I am surprised they don't charge extra for these. So I am a little worried there is some disadvantage. I have read the crew quarters door is in front of 66G and you can hear some banging. Is there a lot of extra room?

Anyone have any pictures?

66D and E are good seats, seats 66F and G are too close to the banging. :D

As with almost all Qantas bulkhead seats, many people will find it impossible to fully straighten their legs in these seats. This can be surprisingly uncomfortable on long hauls. I would always choose a regular seat over a bulkhead. In fact I declined the offer of a bulkhead seat at checkin a week ago.

at 5 foot 8 I can stretch out fully in 66D and have done so on numerous occasions.

Wow that is a worry. I would prob be ok but DH is tall and needs length. I really liked the idea of no one reclining into us.

Thanks for the feed back I had booked this seat not having any idea about how good it is ðŸ

I would be fine then it would seem easily but DH is around 6'4

At several inches shorter in height I would never choose a Qantas bulkhead seat on longhaul, except for a couple that have cutouts in the bottom of the bulkhead, or several aisle bulkhead seats where the bulkhead does not extend as wide as the seat (so one can extend their legs diagonally past the bulkhead, albeit into the aisle). The rest prevent full leg extension and are extremely uncomfortable for me on long hauls (although all my joints are perfectly healthy). Hence the number of people you see with the legs climbing the bulkhead some hours into flights. A regular aisle seat is not much better given the minimal pitch (most Asian airlines have better pitch than QF ... how does that make any sense ?), but still preferable for me. YMMV

I used to get free exit rows as soon as they sighted me at checkin. Since QF started charging for these I have moved to other airlines where I still get them for free.
