Hi all
Please be gentle as first time posting.

I am traveling business class in May on a Qantas ticket QF for all flights from NZ to London - Heathrow and back from Paris. Paid for in $ not upgrades etc

Outbound Flights are Qantas metal from Wellington to Melbourne, Emirates metal from Melbourne to Dubai, Qantas Metal from Dubai to London

Inbound flights are Emirates metal from Paris to Melbourne via Dubai and Qantas metal Melbourne to Wellington

Some questions

Outbound - will I get boarding passes for all sectors at first when I checkin in Wellington NZ and hence not have to check in after then, Melbourne and Dubai?
In Melbourne I assume there will be access to the Emirates business lounge while waiting for the Emirates flight to Dubai or will I have to use the Qantas lounge?
Again I assume Emirates lounge in dubai for the Qantas metal flight to London (QF9). Is that right ?

Is it far from the arrival area from where the Wellington Qantas flight will finish in Melbourne to the departure lounges for Emirates?

Inbound-
I intend to get a train from Montpellier to the Charles de Gaulle airport railways station. Is the terminal with the Emirates checkin counter far from the station?

Thanks for any help

Welcome aboard, Tatou! This place is amazing for travel resources, and I'm sure folks will be lining up to help.

I don't have all the answers, but I have some.

Pity they haven't worked out a way to get an A380 into Wellington. I would have taken a domestic flight up to Auckland and gone Emirates all the way, as the difference in Trans-Tasman J is huge. QF gives you a 738 and a reclining seat, EK gives you the full lie-flat, onboard bar, wide screen, minibar experience. Still, you won't be uncomfortable.

I think you'll get BPs for all legs in WLG and back again from CDG. On arrival into MEL, airside transit should take about five minutes. MEL international is not that big, with five minutes walk end to end. You'll have a choice of EK and/or QF lounges. I haven't used either, but my guess is that EK will be slightly better than QF.

In Dubai, it's the EK J lounge. You'll enjoy this, I'm sure!

Going home, Emirates leaves from Terminal 2C at CDG, which is right beside the station. Good pick!

Now, I'm sure some expert with recent experience will be along to give you up to the minute news.

Not much to add, although the EK lounge at MEL is much better then the QF International Business Bunker at MEL.

At MEL and DXB, look for transit security, no need for Immigration/Customs.

Thanks Pete for replying.

Not sure why never went via Auckland and straight onto the A380. Never mind live and learn for next time. Usually fly ANZ but this was a good deal.
Have done J in A380 on Singapore Air previously via Changi so it will be interesting to do Emirates and Qantas on the A380 in J.
