Hi,

First time posting, as I couldn't find the answer in another thread.

I have booked the following flight with American Airlines ORD-DEN in P class, and would like to know if the flight will earn QFF status and points.

American Airlines 4310 Operated by REPUBLIC AIRLINES AS AMERICAN EAGLE

I am probably over complicating things, but it can get confusing with marketed vs operated oneworld flights.

From the Qantas site:
^ AmericanConnection flights are operated by Chautauqua Airlines Inc.
+ American Eagle service includes flights operated by Executive Airlines. Effective from 14 February 2013, AA flight numbers in the 2500–2599 flight number range will be operated by ExpressJet as American Eagle. Effective from 15 November 2012, AA flight numbers in the 2600–2699 flight number range will be operated by Skywest Airlines as American Eagle

Thanks

The short answer is that any flight with an AA flight number on your ticket will earn as if it was operated by AA. It is more complex in some other cases...

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I flew American Eagle with an AA no - it initially cam through as a Y flight, but after providing boarding pass it was re credited as F status credits and points

Was wondering the same thing when booking one of these ORD->YYZ. FF desk said flat out no, doesn't count, despite being a QF codeshare and available for award bookings. But points/SC posted the next day.

Their planes are pretty nice but the the service is much worse than mainline AA. Be sure to board early as americans take the kitchen sink on in carry on and the E175s have small bins.

I had an identical experience in January. Had to email my BP and they increased by points and SCs.

Be warned, American Eagle planes have small overhead bins, and you are likely to have your cabin luggage taken from you on boarding. I then saw several bags falling 10-15m from the aerobridge to the tarmac, so do not leave any fragile items in your bag.

But as to whether you'll get QF points and SCs flying on a Republic Airlines plane is another matter.

I just flew ORD-EWR with Republic Airlines as American Eagle last week in one of the newly AA painted E175's

Points and SC's in my QF account within 72 hours, flown and credited as P class
