Hi all šŸ˜Š

I've been reading through many threads and am possibly worrying unnecessarily . . ?

I have a business class booking, used Qantas points, flying with KLM.

The confirmation (from Qantas) shows the ticket numbers (081 etc) plus the booking reference.

It shows as upcoming trip when I log into Qantas.

I can also see the flight booking, choose seats etc. when I look at My Trip on the KLM website (using the booking reference). I can't see any ticket numbers however. . . Is this the norm?

Thank you for comments / reassurance!

If you are worried, make sure you print out the document that has the 081 number on it and take it with you. I don't think you need to be worried though.

Booked mid June @celsioraus

Thanks @Anna

By the way, I just read on here you can put your details into Royal Jordanian website to see ticketing details . . Why would it show there if I've booked through Qantas and flying with KLM?

Royal Jordanian is part of OneWorld like Qantas. Their systems do talk to each other and Royal Jordanian seems to have a more flexible system than most.

Thanks @RooFlyer . . I've just tried it and can see e-ticket numbers there šŸ¤©

Totally separately, considering a trip to Oslo, Norway, in the lead up to Christmas.

Any flyers been in winter / December and can give tips/must do? I know it will be freezing!

Check out the Trip Reports forum here, maybe search on Oslo or Norway within it.

Or post a new query on the Destination Guide forum.

A couple of years ago, my family convinced me and my wife to accompany them to the d'Alsance and Lorrainne area in France over the December period. It was bitterly cold. My advice is go to southern Spain!

In addition to RJ, the free CheckMyTrip.com (and associated app versions) is useful to have for Oneworld and other airlines that use the Amadeus booking system.

A bunch of us just realised (curtesy of another thread) that you should register with both first names to match your FF details and then you get full functionality - including seeing eTickets and seat maps etc.

Thanks all. Such a helpful bunch ā˜ŗ

We want the Nordic experience leading up to Christmas, thus visiting Norway. Won't be doing too much in the great outdoors (with young child) but just nice twinkly cosy hotel, quick Christmas markets, ice-skating trips and then visiting indoor museums etc. sort of thing.

It was also cheaper to fly back to Australia from Norway by a large amount than from the UK so as we've wanted to visit for quite a while, thought, why not!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

That would be great @smckay I know it will be different but transfer links etc would be helpful.

Are you buying an Oslo pass (if going there?)

No, we are only there overnight for a transit. Our destination is Tromso
The visit Norway website and trip advisor have a lot of intel on transfers.
There is a train from the airport to Central station which we will take

If you want the Christmas deal then best to go to the 'source':
Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland, in northern Finland. Almost totally destroyed during World War II, today itā€™s a modern city known for being the "official" home town of Santa Claus, and for viewing the Northern Lights. Itā€™s home to Arktikum, a museum and science center exploring the Arctic region and the history of Finnish Lapland. The Science Centre Pilke features interactive exhibits on northern forests.

We wanted to go to Finland but the flights were too expensive.

The VY train is the best value option. It has 1 stop between the airport and central station, and plenty of travellers use it. Easy to get bags on and off as the entry is same level as the platform, but there are stairs internally. Not that crowded to be an issue. Station announcements are on screens so you know where you are. And, they have coffee and food vending machines (cheese doodles anyone?)
The flytoget train may be faster (it sure looks speedy) but the VY train did us. Free wifi too šŸ‘
