Recently flew CNS-BNE-NRT-CTS return...all on QF flight numbers...all one Booking Number.
The NRT-CTS segments were on Jetstar Japan but QF numbered flights.
When I booked I used points plus pay to minimise the cost down a bit...first time I have used this.

Coming back the Jetstar CTS-NRT flight was weather delayed by 6 hours, this meant I missed all the rest of the return flights as well.
I was rebooked on QF80 NRT-MEL, then MEL-CNS the next day.
Also got a Business Upgrade approved for my original NRT-BNE flight... before I missed it.

My question is on the points and SC regarding the NRT-MEL bit have not posted.

50000 points were deducted for the original Business upgrade which listed as NRT-BNE not MEL.
As I did not actually "book" this NRT-MEL flight, Qantas did to reseat me, do I get points/SC for it?
Or do I get points/SC for the originally booked NRT-BNE flight that I missed?
Currently I have no points/SC for the return NRT- Australia leg...

Is this normal or should I wait a few more days for it to clear up?

Thanks

Before applying for ORC, see if your new route will actually give you more points/ sc's. Give it a few days to see if anything is posted, you have 12 months to claim ORC.

The new route should as its 2 hours further south and more flying...
I was hoping it would sort itself out after a while...after all there was major rescheduling.
It has only been a few days since the flights but all other sectors have posted.

Points/SC's should post for the flights flown. When they post, should they be less then what you should have gotten on the original booking, contact QF asking for Original Routing Credit

There is no difference in SC/Points eanring between NRT-BNE and NRT-MEL. As for the rest, it lloks as though you'd be better off with the as-flown credits, rather than the original.

Give it a day or two, the contact them, and explain what happened.

What were you originally booked on for NRT-BNE? Before upgrading....

QF62 NRT-BNE...economy...but business points upgrade approved before the storm interrupted things.

Still no changes to points yet.

Rang up at last and they gave me original routing credit NRT-BNE.
But still got MEL-CNS sector credit.
