Qantas points earning on China Eastern

I am not that up to speed on the different booking classes.

I flew to China last week on business class - and I believe it was 'I' class, the points have not come through yet, which is ok but I have now checked the QF website and noticed that 'I' class is not included in the points earning list even though it was business class. They were happy to include my QF FF # on the booking and borading pass.

Will I ever earn these points on QF and if not for my return flight, should I use a Skyteam FF scheme?

If I won't ever get the QF points, will I be able to respectively claim the points on my Skyteam account as the QF # is on the boarding pass?

It does seem odd. I have earned points in discount economy on domestic MU flights.

The bolding below is mine, but did you fly on MU metal or Qantas metal?

FYI, I credit to my Skyteam FF no when flying MU.

Thanks Fantic, it was an MU flight number on an MU plane.

The section I looked at on the QF website did not list the I class fares, so I must have been looking elsewhere.

I shall leave my FF # as is then and will aptiently wait for the points to come through.

Did those points come through in the end?

And how did you associate your QFF number with the tickets? Did you just ask at checkin? I booked the tickets through an agent and I'm not 100% sure they conveyed my QFF number to CE.

Yes, points came through shortly after. It was quoted in the booking through the travel agent but I confirmed that it was there at checkin and that it was on the boarding pass.
