Husband may end up with LTG however he joined some years ago to Qantas Club and paid three years or so?
He has been gold and Platinium since very soon after .
What happens if he attains LTG and doesn't need the Qantas Club membership? I realise it suspended from the time he qualified for gold

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

He could ring up and ask if what's left of the QANTAS Club membership could be refunded. Others have received a pro-rata refund in the past.

LTG is obviously a lot better than QANTAS Club giving lounge access when flying OneWorld; or Emirates (on codeshare routes) without needing a QF marketed ticket. Whereas QANTAS Club access does require a QF marketed ticket. With LTG there can be some choice of lounge too where with QANTAS Club you're limited to the lounge QANTAS has chosen for you which may be less than ideal.

LTG has better upgrade priority than Silver or Bronze and better award seat availability, better points earn on flights etc.
