But will it be quicker than just using their mobile website. IMHO the old app was way too slow...

Old app was rubbish, slow and many features didn't work with my surname.

Still no seat selection?

If you re-install the app you'll get todays new version FYI all!

I think it looks great / a lot faster and usable!

I find many apps are slower than the mobile websites and the mobile websites have no less functionality! Examples include Hertz and Virgin. I am using an iphone 4s though.

The old app was one of the best airline apps out there, but it was a tad slow, looking forward to using the updated one!

Does it require iOS 7 or just optimised for it?
It's built for iOS7, it means it might not run well on 6, 5, etc. They'll eventually stop supporting 6 and previous (might even come with this update)

Anyone else find it slightly annoying when you view your bookings you have to keep hitting 'load more' to add the next flight (instead of hitting it once and loading all your future flights?)

I do love that it tells you when Online Checkin Opens, as well as the nearest lounge (useful when overseas) - I wonder how it will go with suggesting OW partner lounges? My upcoming LHR-MEL offers the BA F Galleries but doesnt mention other options.

It also doesn't recognise status for Lounge access.
I like the interface it's bright and clean and overall looks to be an improvement.

Available at the App Store from 3pm today, I look forward to hearing your reviews.

IMPROVED QANTAS APP STREAMLINES TRAVEL FOR CUSTOMERS

iPhone 4 running IOS 7. App retrieved my online booking for tomorrow: BNE-MEL-BNE including accomodation booked through Qantas. Had my status correct(sigh, back to PS with Qantas Club). Handled online check in (sequence 2) okay after crashing first time. Didn't initially show chosen seats from online booking but as I checked in thay came up with the option to change seats with a handy seat map. Would be nice but not too important if they showed you the points and SC's for that booking. Mapping worked well except with my return it was telling me how far I was from MEL.
All in all a great job and not slow at all on my old iPhone 4.

I've installed/uninstalled the update twice now. Despite using the correct details I'm told my login details are incorrect. I was only able to login once and found my current bookings hadn't been transitioned. Yes I turned it off and on again.
