I know there have been a few complaints around the QF seat selection forcing you to select seats for all flights, when you may only want to pay for it on one flight (or for some reason not select seats on all flights etc).

Good news is there is now a "Skip" button on the seat selection page online, so no need to ring the call centre to allocate seats for specific flights:

Well good that they finally wised up to that, i have a RTW fair coming up and only wanted to pick seats on AA flights that i didn't have to pay for and not a couple of Qantas legs at the start and finish... Although in the end i called up Qantas and spoke to some guy about my problem who was good enough to waive the fee and book the AA and the Qantas seats for free... So guess i won't be able to do that in the future now... :)
