After the file is attached? Because that’s when it becomes rotated.
No. Edit and rotate in the device before upload.

But I think he is saying it rotates once uploaded but I may be wrong - did happen once before

Yes I believe because the photo is take in different orientation. So one has to roate it before upload.

No, it’s taken in my normal landscape orientation and looks as I want it. It gets rotated (unpredictably) during the upload.
Hmm. Too much Chardonnay?

Try rotating it and see what happens?

Might have to ask Sam. :)

During upload a photo can end up rotated. Don't know the exact cause, but the fix posted above is correct. Edit the photo and rotate once, then save. Then edit it again and rotate 3 more times back to the correct orientation and save again. Then when you upload it will do so correctly.

Sam, why don’t look at the code of the forum software to see what it’s doing, or ask the supplier why this hapoens.

Sounds like rotation data not being read from EXIF.. some possible leads.
Seems a little dumb to strip or ignore the orientation. But some forum software apps strip all the meta data on upload (not a bad idea since it removes geolocation data) so this would seem to contribute to be the issue. Then the image is displayed according to relative dimensions?

Flickr which preserves EXIF meta data also gets orientation wrong on occasions.

But only support or the forum software developers know the answer.

Nothing at all offered for a PDB, meal service was prompt and options were Lamb Shanks or Chicken and Mushroom sauce. Had the Lamb shank and it was excellent flavour and a real good meal IMO. Was accompanied with sour dough and a Lindt ball. Still no spirits and chatting to the CSM she believed it wouldn’t be reinstated until Easter at earliest. Service was great and a real engaging crew. Comfortable flight with some fantastic views of the Great Barrier Reef and only some turbulence on descent into SYD. PB and J loo usage enforced.

Again no PDB offered
Meal order and service prompt as only 5 in J.
Options were Lamb Moussaka or Prosciutto and barley salad. Both of us had the salad and thought it was good. Tasty vinaigrette and enough body in the dish to make it a substantial meal. Service was great although limited wine option (1red, 1 white on board). PB enforced but J loo usage not (was only about 20 Y pax on board) Pretty good flight overall and slightly OT but geez the SYD J lounge has noticeably gone down hill recently.

QF490 MEL-SYD 19:30 on an A330
No PDB offered this time (not even bottled water), oh well!

Seated in 7A on the A330 which I think is the best seat in J. First it's an aisle and a window seat (i.e. no neighbours), you aren't in the zoo that is the main cabin of J but rather the cozy secondary J cabin behind it. Another nice benefit is there is a locker on the corner that can easily swallow your bags so you don't have to reach for the overhead locker:

Decent load on this flight, including in the J cabin, I'd reckon maybe 40% load (I know that's not a lot but compared to the past few QF flights where I'd be lucky if there was someone else in J at least it's not like that). Fortunately I was the only one in the secondary J cabin.

One of the downsides of sitting in 7A especially if there are others in J is it may take some time to get your meal order. In this case I'd say about 20 minutes a FA came to serve my dinner. There were no options, just chicken so far as I can tell. I didn't mind since I ain't a choosy eater (so long as it ain't veg 🤣):

Chicken dish was pretty good, arguably the best meal I've gotten on a QF plane thus far. Chicken was tasty and flavourful and the addition of potatoes and other greens was certainly welcome. I also got two slices of bread (not pictured here) and they were good too. For drinks I ordered sparkling wine and water, which were as expected. The addition of the Lindor bar instead of the Lindor bonbons were also welcome too.

If there is really one gripe I have about the service it's that the meals weren't delivered quick enough. On a one hour flight like MEL > SYD on a lie flat, like this QF A330, I'm expecting to spend 20 minutes eating, 30 minutes in lie flat mode and 10 minutes in the climb out and landing phase. Now that's how you get value out of these short flights - dinner and a snooze! 😅

As with most things QF it's Consistently Inconsistent(tm). I have had multiple flights in the one day... one crew giving bottles.. another not. It may be a crew thing, or bottles not loaded by catering or a mixture. Is it major... well in summer possibly. Again, it's the inconsistency I find so frustrating more than anything else. Have a policy and do it... even if the policy is to not have it. Don't raise expectations (for some) and then dump them on the very next sector.

BME-PER right now.

Chicken curry for PJM; braised beef for me.

Rather boarding-school like for the beef at least, but tasty enough.

Shaw & Smith SB for PJM; Krondorf straight Grenache for me. For a straight Grenache, it was pretty good.

Just thought I'd comment on the chocolates on offer in QF Domestic J. It seems like most of the time we're given Lindor bonbons, however as per my last trip report, a proper Lindor bar was given. I'm curious if there is any rhyme or reason to the selection of chocolates on such flights? Can one request additional Lindor chocolates? What about alternatives like Kitkat or Snickers bars?! Some of us demand choices! 😅
