Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Right now.

QF935 BNE-PER 0900 departure.

‘Lunch’ at 1030 EST/0830 WST. Three options. A standard chicken/veg, moussaka and a prosciutto salad.

I went for the latter as a lighter option at this time of day. Very acceptable. Again, not a bowl of NP Rabbit Food in sight. 🥳

Red was a Vic shiraz. Can’t recall from whom, but it was fine.

9:30am SyD to CNS was offered a pancetta and pesto toastie or a salad. Went for the toastie, but then passed when offered extra sourdough

MEL-SYD lunchtime. Mega Bread Bundle (I accepted the bread offer before using my brain!).

Croque Monsieur. Wine was Shaw & Smith Sauv Blanc (yep, it's bacccckkkk)

Really I must say this was a pretty big ham and cheese toastie lol and quite filling. perfect for the hour flight.

We’re talking Cairns as in Northern Queensland, right?

Just checking that I’m not mistaken- that must be one of the worst Qantas offerings out there, given the odd 3 hour flight time!

It was only a one hour flight, remember. Not PER-SYD. I reckon a Croque Monsieur is the J version of a toasted sandwich, after all! :)

As others have mentioned, it was the 3 hour CNS flight. Having said that, the Croque Monsieur is also pretty average. As much as everyone bags BA short haul J seating, they manage to serve a proper hot meal on a 1 hour flight.

Looks like some new or perhaps 'holiday' catering on that SYD-MEL

Lunchtime 12pm service

5pm service (chicken curry)

Wine on both legs was Grenache or Shaw&Smith Sav blanc.

5pm ended up being 787 which as was commented on P1 thread felt a lot more polished with that international vibe and genuinely happy crew.

It has been out done on the same SYD CNS route in mid June though... A pie. And a piece of bread. No chutney/sauce. Dry as!

New(to me) lunch snack today on MEL-SYD - a gormet of sorts pastie(quite large) with sweet potato puree and tomato relish. Was actually pretty tasty and filling. Same Shaw&Smith Sauv Blanc.

SYD-MEL I just had wine. A Margaret River Chardonnay. I must say this crew worked their butts off and were so generous with pours and refills... I think I may have had 2.5 glasses during the flight then during *DESCENT* was handed a plastic cup (maybe finishing the bottle?).. that was a new one... I joked they were trying to get me tipsy lol. Really good service.

IIRC the snacks were a salad and croque monsieur

Choice of Ham & Cheese toastie or a chickpea salad (which looked to be predominantly bby spinach) on 10am SYD to MEL this morning. Y got cheese and jatz crackers.
