Santiago on sale - $1049 Y, $2299 W, $4299 J

QF sale on to Santiago from east coast. Seemed like a good deal so the other half and I have booked for Easter next year.

Certainly a good price. Although, I booked SYD-SCL-LIM in Premium Economy at the same price during another sale a little while ago.

For me, the J price got me over the line, as it is usually between $7.5-8k!

Got a J award return for the non-status chasing SWMBO...

Hmm getting very tempted to lock one in for next year ... but don't know when / where I'll be working :(

The only down side is that I can only see J seat availability for this special on the codeshare flights - I am not a huge fan of the LAN (LATAM) 787 business seats.

We booked for April next year, didn't have too many issues finding the QF flights on the dates we wanted.

Now you tell me. I've got a TPAC return with them next year. ;) :)

As an aside, despite QF directing pax to the AAdmirals Club in SCL which is a total dive, LATAM have opened a nice lounge there. Looking forward to trying on the way back.
Also note, Chile has a "reciprocity" tax of US$117 I've just learned, to be paid at immigration.

Sorry? ... where did they say to use the Admiral's club at SCL? At SYD check-in? For an onwards international flight from SCL?

As Qantas WP you can use the LAN lounge at SCL for both on-bound Sth American flights on LAN (with or without QF code share) and for QF or LAn flights back to Australia.

Yes, it is a very nice lounge, and yes, the AA lounge is a dive (I went there for a look once :-| ).

There are Trip Reports which tell you there where and how about paying the Reciprocity Tax at SCL arrivals.

On the QF website, and at SCL check in IIRC.

I know the lounge entitlements, just pointing this out to others who may mistakenly take QF's advice.
