Hi,

Long time viewer - first time poster.

I was wondering if someone can help with the following, I have tried emailing Qantas but they never reply. I have also called them but get a different reply each time I call??

I am looking at joining my companies Corporate Scheme.
I have several questions first....

1. Will my membership cover lounge access for the entire family (2 adults + 2 children 9yrs & 11yrs)? I understand that a guest (my wife) will have guest access but what about the children?

2. I have a trip planned for Singapore later in the year as per below. Can you tell me if I will be able to access the lounge (2 adults + 2 children) in Adelaide – Perth – Singapore without any problems?

JQ974 Jetsaver - Adelaide - Perth
JQ109 Jetsaver - Perth - Singapore
JQ110 Jetsaver - Singapore - Perth
JQ975 Jetsaver - Perth - Adelaide

3. Lastly, can the corporate membership be in my wife’s name instead of mine?

Cheers

Technically you are limited to the number of guests permitted by your access, and some lounges are strict when it comes to children counting, others treat them as invisible in that context. You should not have issues with access for JQ flights, and the corporate membership must be in the name of the person employed by that company but your company organizer would need to confirm that, some may be more flexible.

The QP rule is here: (10. Access to lounges)
10.4 Subject to clause 10.5, there is a limit of one guest per Member in all lounges, except that, in respect of Qantas operated lounges:
...
(c) children aged 3 years or under are not counted as guests for the purpose of determining the number of guests of the Member. However, Qantas may limit the number of those children per Member to two.
However, anecdotal experience indicate the lounge agents seem to have some leeway, often allowing pre-teen offspring as additional guests.

You could take out partner membership for your wife, that will mean you each can take in a guest.
