I couldn't find an appropriate thread, so here goes.

When booking with Qantas I always opt to pay with B-pay and this way I avoid the $7 CC booking fee.

My last two bookings have been a mixture of pay one-way and points return. Qantas do not allow the use of B-pay if points are involved, so I've had to use my CC. However, I have NOT seen the $7 fee post on my CC. Is this because its a mixture of points and pay or some other obscure reason?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The CC fee wouldn't normally show separately on your statement. Did you notice if the amount owing increased when you selected CC payment method? The fee is normally included on that last page.

No, thats the thing. The price didn't change and there is no entry on my CC statement.

Beats me!?

As long as the charge on the card statement matches the amount you expected then there mustn't be a CC fee. All good. There was an few examples where the amount to pay wasn't updated, but the card was charged an amount that included the CC fee.

Virgin don't charge a fee if the charge is under $50, (I think it is $50) so maybe Qantas is the same.

I didn't think Qantas charged a booking fee when paying to supplement points on a points booking?

In any case, the credit card fee will never be charged in a situation where there is no fee-free option. I suspect the fact that BPay wasn't available is the reason for the lack of a charge.

As mentioned there is no credit card surcharge on award bookings.

The high credit card surcharge on cheap revenue bookings more than makes up for it though.
