Has anyone got to access the fare details/travel periods for any of these? As the "Fares Pages" are login only, I can't see any details.

I had a look on the QF website, but no mention of the sale there. Tried a few dummy bookings and turned up some "Business Saver" fares but not sure if these are them or not.

I also can't get E/F to show any of these fare basis (tried with IAUSA9) with a few dates in Oct/Nov but no "I" class comes us - just standard $14k return in C.

How do Qantas call $6,018.00 for business class Sydney - Hong Kong a good deal??

Sounds pretty expensive to me.

Actually, I fly PE all of the time to HK and at $2,000.00 I find this OK but $6,000.00 for Business to HK is ridiculous.

Anyway just my thoughts.

The departure dates are for 1 Dec to 22 Jan which would normally be a little bit more expensive for PE. I was trying to book MEL-HKG for 18Dec/8Jan. It would cost me over $3k.

i have been looking at mel-lax for the past week. At $10350, the fare was about the same this time last week for mel-lax. Other airlines are offering much better deals.

Well I'm stoked. I just cancelled our flight to England for Christmas (original cost $11,426) and rebooked the exact same flights for $7502! A MASSIVE saving - lost $200 cancellation fee for the previously paid ticket but saved $3,723 a ticket!

The sale includes the below flights from Dec 01 - Jan 22.

Buenos Aires
From $7,167*
London
From $7,478*
Los Angeles
From $10,350*

agreed.. the HK fare is a bit steep.

I mean Singapore are doing this for $3600 A380 the whole way via Singapore..

sure its a bit longer but i would think its a lot better than QF's 747

The Qantas pricing for LAX/SFO/JFK is good for passengers wanting to use their points to upgrade into the business cabin. It ensure plenty of availability!

I don't know anyone (out of about 12 flights) who has not received a points requested upgrade into business this year on MEL/SYD-LAX and vice versa.

I will just keep my fingers crossed for another Prem Econ sale

Speaking to QBT, they are saying fwd bookings on this route in the premium cabins are picking up (which is good for QF and explains why they haven't needed to discount so much). They also said they've picked up some PAX from V-Aus's cancellations.

<Jumps up and down like a kid on a sugar high>

Don't make me get the ice cold water.... or the huge laundry basket and a big heavy rock. :p

Another 2-for-1 premium sale would be very nice. :)

This sale doesn't seem like much except "buy these now before we jack prices back up to pre-GFC times".
