Has anyone else been invited to participate in this?

Received an email to my work address:

Qantas is running a trial of a new check-in experience for customers.

Auto check-in removes the requirement for passengers to check-in on each flight. Qantas is giving select corporate customers the opportunity to trial this new feature during the period from 1 May 2018 to 31 May 2018 (Trial Period).

Up to 23 hours before their flight, Qantas will check-in on behalf of participants and will then send a digital boarding pass via SMS to the relevant participant. If a participant books or changes a flight with less than 24 hours notice, they will be unable to use Auto Check-In and will have to check in via normal check-in channels.

The Trial will only apply to domestic, single passenger, corporate flights that are scheduled during May 2018. Participants can use this digital boarding pass when dropping any bags at the auto bag drop or at their flight gate for boarding.

After the end of the Trial on 31 May 2018, participants in the Trial will need to revert back to current check-in methods.

Not that I want to start the whole "what's the point of online checkin" discussion but recently I resisted the urge to checkin before arriving at the airport. Had seat allocation already and HLO. I actually think it took less time than it normally does at the priority desk as they just printed a boarding pass and off i went. There wasn't the discussion on if I wanted to use my Q card or If i wanted a boarding pass.

My question is why only corporate customers.
In a thread about online checkin I recall someone mentioned that they dont do it because it's harder to change flights last minute if you have already checked in. I would think that would be your corporate customers who need fo do those last minute changes on flexi tickets.
