According to some sources (aka nutcases), there is a group that believes Qantas and other airlines are spraying chemicals, whilst overflying our cities.

(my friend who is a QF pilot shared the link, it's very funny but disturbing at the same time as this group (nutcases) wanted to confront the pilots in SYD yesterday)

I would think you have some beauties.Every AFF thread goes on and off OT so why should this one be different.

I have a couple. Perhaps the best was when we were out testing RF radiation in someone's house. The actually owned 2 adjacent houses opposite the main railway line in Sydney's mid west. Get out there knock on the door of the address given and the guy comes over from next door, says hi and directs us to test the next door house. So he used a decoy address?

We get in there and it's the guy with his older parents (late 60s/ early 70s). Anyway my colleague was doing the testing and i was talking to the parents in the front room. Next thing you know a van drives past and turns into a depot across the road near the railway tracks. Like a Telstra van or similar. Well next thing you know dad starts telling how those vans follow his son all the time, they are always across the road spying on them and they want us to do testing to find the bugs. My head is screaming "it's a F'ing depot of course vans are there all the time". The son then came and did evil eyes at dad, who promptly shut up. I think from that point it was "yeah well nothing here, we gotta go"

We didn't really find anything except something almost like a beam of RF about 5cm wide that might have been directional back to a mobile tower about 500m away.

Just watched the video. Thought it was a joke at first, then realised this fruit loop (and one of the commenters on YT) is serious (I think)! Bizarre behaviour...talk about paranoid.

Apparently they were wanted to confront the pilot of QF64 on Tuesday and ask him why he was spraying chemicals over cities. The AFP had rounded them up and never got to "ask" !

This is probably why Qantas International is not making money, they are spending all their money buying chemicals to spray over cities. Must be costing a fortune.

Back in my Navy days there were always stories of Potts Point residents complaining that their TV reception was "ruined' by ships at Garden Island "using their radar"

Always good for a chuckle.. because while the Safe to Rotate keys were routinely issued in harbour after maintenance on the aerials, the Safe to Transmit keys (IMO at least) never were...:mrgreen:

Folks see an aerial rotating and assume it is also transmitting...understandable I suppose... but I'm afraid they needed to find another reason to explain the viewing problems...

Note we are not talking about navigation radars here... rather the long range Search and Fire Control types.... rather high power outputs!

The guy might be part of the loony group who in the late 1990's protested against the AKL council spraying a "fly spray" from a DC3 (from memory) over the western suburbs to try (successfully) eradicate an asian moth that had the potential to devastate NZ horticulture.

The spray worked, the loony group didn't work (that's how they had time to protest!)
