I did a search but couldn't find an ongoing thread? (found some for specific topics)

I thought it might be useful to have an ongoing thread (if there already is one mods please move)

Anyway - latest survey received by family member seems to be about Qantas club and the benefits associated with qantas club.

In particular, there was a focus on guests. how often do you bring in guests to both domestic and international lounges, and is the ability to bring in a guest 'important'.

Perhaps drawing a long bow... but Delta has recently introduced changed to their club access... introducing a guest and non-guest option. Only those paying a premium in membership will be entitled to bring a guest for free. Those on the lower option will need to pay each time.

I got it and after the first question got 'Sorry, today we are only interested in hearing from our Gold and Qantas Club members'. CL and WP/WP1 are not included in this one.

Was the first survey i've had in a very long time too.

That's terrible. as a WP guest access is an important consideration to me. I've banged on about it, but constantly frustrated by the un-used guest allowance versus the inability to have extra family member guests once or twice a year.

I suspect that might be because they won't take away guest access for platinums, but may be looking at the guest allowance for other levels.

I got it and couldn't figure out why they seemed unable to filter the survey so as not to send it to WP+ in the first place . I've had the same thing happen before .

Thats my issue too... I usually travel alone, but it would be nice to be able to guest more people in when I am with a group.

I'd much rather get 10 annual guest entries as a gold than the current setup (and maybe make it 25 for plat). Far more useful for the few times I travel with a group rather than not going in at all on those trips because it'd split the group in half.

It was half the reason why I upgraded to the Westpac Earth Black credit card, so I'd have 2 extra passes on standby (the other half was the increased point earn of course).

What a great idea – being able to bank up some unused guest visits (to some suitable limit of course) so that you can bring in more than one guest on the rarer occasions that you need to.

My idea involves fairly strict conditions. I'd limit use of banked passes to immediate family members only, eg siblings and parents, and partners. So as to not abuse. Probably also a strict limit on total number per visit.

I was just doing one I received, and got about 10 pages in before it asked me whether I'd flown domestically in the past 12 months, after which it said "sorry we're not interested'. Could've started with that question!

I have just received the same!

Seemed to suggest QF might be looking at introducing reduced "carry-on only" fares.

Who knows what they are thinking? I just had a survey from them on the use of meeting rooms at the QP.

I'd be all over that. 95% of my flying is with a small backpack and that's it.

i don't suspect they will 'reduce' the fare... I think they will keep base fares the same, and add extra for checked luggage.

while they talk about a 10kilo limit... there is no guarantee they will select that allowance.

they can use the survey results to show 'overwhelming demand' for carry on fares, but still maintain a 7kg limit. worst of both worlds.

I got the meeting room and baggage allowance ones. I find the carry-on allowance one a bit of a worry.

Why is it that whenever Qantas looks like making a change I'm always thinking it's going to be bad. Not a great reputation they are starting to build for themselves, even for a Qantas lover like me. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but..........

I've just finished the 'carry on' survey. Tempted to insert a joke about Kenneth Williams or Sid James but I shall not. Going to be interesting to see how the results of the survey will be dissected at Coward Street.

I didn't reply to the meeting room survey as I don't use them.

I just got 2 in the last 24 hours. Meeting rooms and "Preferences in Airline Choice". Tried to start one, but the website isn't playing nice with my tablet.
