Received the following email this morning:

50% more Status Credits on Qantas flights
Dear sostopher,
There's never been a better time to book with Qantas. For a limited time, you'll be rewarded with 50% more Status Credits on eligible flights with a QF flight number on your ticket.*

You can enjoy this offer on an unlimited number of flights booked in the next 7 days so it's a great way to help get your Status Credits balance soaring.

Simply register and make a new booking between 5 January 2020 and 11 January 2020 for travel from 5 January 2020 to 4 May 2020. And don't forget to include your Frequent Flyer membership number in your booking.

Amusingly, the UTM has "Jul-2014" as the title, so they're potentially re-using old templates.

Specific terms around the receipt of the email:

This offer is valid when you register and make a new eligible flight booking within the promotional dates stated in the email. This bonus offer applies to travel taken by the recipient of this offer only (regardless of other passengers in the same booking), and is not transferable.

Anyone else get this?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Hi I got one about a week ago, I have to book by the 8th.

I have a related question.. To be eligible I have to book through the Qantas website, call centre or a travel agent. Does anyone know if booking through the AMEX travel portal counts as a 'travel agent'? I'd like to use the credit I have with the AMEX explorer card.

I don't know what counts as a travel agent these days...

Yes it counts. As long as you registered previously, any booking you make will count (including via the Amex portal to use the travel credit).

There’s a few of these 50% bonus SC threads around. QF seems to be constantly drip-feeding these offers.

Thanks, I found the exact line in the T&Cs of the email if anyone was curious.

"Flights can be booked via the Qantas website, a travel agent or Qantas Contact Centres."
