Has anyone received the monthly email newsletter from Priority Privilege (Intercontinental Hotel Group) for April 2009?

I have found that these monthly newsletters arrived too late during the month to take advantage of the benefits. Last month it did not arrive until 7th March which had a 50% dining for up to 6 people at the Intercontinental for lunch - effective 1st to 31st March. I took guests there the day before, and the restaurant did not give me the 50% discount. I was rather annoyed when I received the email newsletter the day after.

No I haven't received it either. It seems to be later and later. In fact one month I think they just changed the Month on the top and made it go for a second month. I'm also keen to know when the next Point Breaks will be published.

I phoned Priority Privilege customer service and complained about the lateness of the monthly email newsletters. But, all they could say to me was that it was sent out automatically - and their IT people will look into speeding it up!

The monthly specials are not an advertised benefit and have offered some good bonuses lately, including not needing 7 days notice to use a no cert BOGO (cert BOGO's require 7 day notice), maybe we should not bite the hand that feeds us these specials in case they decide its too hard?

Mine came yesterday.

I just use this card for dining as I am ok for accommodation.

The best bit is Cafe Opera at Intercontinental Sydney and Burswood Intercontinental in Perth as half price dining for 2 is a real winner.

Mine has still not arrived. When I signed up for the card they did tell me about the monthly email newsletters - so not something unadvertised.

I have used the card at the Cafe Opera at the Intercontinental in Sydney a number of times to entertain guests. Yes, it is good value but after eating there about 10 times in the last 6 months I am a bit sick of buffet food. So, I will try the Crowne Plaza in Darling Harbour this month. Some forumites said the a la carte restaurant there is good.

Hi Kagitower

Mine has still not arrived. Could you cut and paste showing what the offers are for April 2009? Thanks.

No problem, thanks, Kagitower. Am not likely to use any benefits offered this month, but just curious to see what's on offer.

Priority Privilege have not yet done an April newsletter, and when they do specials are also repeated on the specials page of the hotels PP website section. They did dens out a blurb about the Asian sale starting tommorrow.

I didn't think there had been an April newsletter, and at this point in the month, it would not surprise me if there wasn't one.

I didn't receive the email about the Asia sale.

Thanks, Markis. I did see the blurb about the Asian sale - but we won't be going to Asia so won't be able to use it. :(

Thank you, Markis.

I have still not received mine in the emails - maybe tomorrow. I checked the Priority Privilege website and they have not uploaded the April newsletter either, the March one is still there. I have been keeping an eye out for deals with the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley to take a few girlfriends to play golf there and at the Vintage (nearby) one weekend.

The NZ offers for April look very good ... Wished I have the time to do a NZ trip to take advantage of these offers. Just been on a 3-week trip in 4 continents with hubby (work for him, leisure for me) in March. We are looking at going to Broome for holiday in July or August. And, we are going to South Africa for holiday for 3 weeks in September. We are doing our part to stimulate the world economies with our travels this year!

Is it correct that the Priority Privilege card members in Australia can avail themselves to these NZ offers.

I wonder what is the cost of Priority Privilege and what is on offer. And how does the value compare to the other hotel loyalty programs from Accor et al. Can you beg more out of consultants if I were to call them as I suppose they would not put everything on the table on first discussion. Will appreciate feedback.

Just under $300 to join, if you can use the Buy One Get one free vouchers and you assume that their value is $150 per night you get your money back, the other vouchers just add to the savings. If you are going to use a hotel for 4 nights a year thats part of this progrma its worth it IMHO

Last weekend you could have used the BoGO offer down the Gold Coast for an effective cost of $100 for two nights, then cashed in your $50 hotel credit voucher to lower the cost further, and still have the 2 BOGOs up your sleeve if you took advantage of the April special - makes WOTIF look expensive :p

Not sure the consultants have that much room to move. The LittleNomads offer was about the cheapest way to sign up. At renewal they normally have a few options such as $100 voucher, extra BOGO and such that you can choose from.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I presume that is for Asia-Pacific? or limited to just Australia?

How does program compare to the other hotel groups?

I had a call and whilst the pressure was on me to commit (cooling off period was offered, in case...) I asked the person to call me back later today for a decision, hoping to get few tips and opinions from the folks on this board.
