I must admit - buying 26k and getting 26k and maintaining my WP status with them for another year for $300 is very tempting, don't really have the cash to go the full 50k +50K right now but that would have been good

So is it confirmed that the 100% bonus points also count towards status?

And another question: I got my Plat status through VA earlier this year, so assume this is valid until Dec 2013. (Is this correct? Couldn't find it anywhere in my PC profile and haven't received the card yet.) If I requalify this year, will this extend my Plat status until Dec 2014?

I've bought the lot now (50k+50k). As I'll be going back to French Polynesia sometime in 2013 they'll be very handy for Moorea or Tahiti, still a good deal even at the normal 30k redemption rate. Bora Bora not sure, seems like the IC Thalasso is not available for Award nights at all, and haven't heard too many good things about the IC Moana.

Reported over at FT by those who were targeted and purchased that both the points and bonus points count towards status.

I can confirm that, all 100k points that I bought have been added to the "Points earned" calculator.
