Pre departure music selection

I have been puzzled for some time at the choice of music on VA during boarding. Why would you choose a song where the dominant line is "let's call the whole thing off"? I cannot imagine this is the most confidence inspiring choice particularly for nervous flyers or those who have been suffering cancellations or delays.

You'll find that the next line states that "if we ever part, then that would break my heart"....
