Before the new website went up my points posted within a few days for AA and CX. 2-3 days for AA without fail.

Now it's over 10 days for my AA flights and for the last 2 days I get an error message if I try a retro claim "We are unable to action your request at this time. Try again later."
with a message to contact the frequent flyer centre. Bit of a problem as I'm in London. Got a few First and Business flights to credit.

Is it just me? Anyone else?

Qantas Points for partner airlines such as AA and CX can take up to 10-14 working days to credit to your account. This is not linked to the recent qantas.com changes, nor are we aware of any system issues relating to retro claims at this time.

Should you not receive these points by the end of the week, please email the details along with a relevant contact number to [email protected] for their urgent attention.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Update - still not working - just tried again now. Same error message.

I have sent an email to the email address above.

I took an AA flight LAS-LAX on Jul 12 Fri and it was credited by July 14 Sun (US time).

Are you sure the AA flight you took is not an O class or a fare class that can receive SC and points with QFF?

No such luck with quick posting here. AA flights taken on 9 November and 12 November have not yet posted as of 22 November.

I have had points posted for a flight on 1st Nov post on the 6th Nov (albeit with the wrong SC's, since rectified by Qantas), a flight on the 14th Nov is yet to post though.

Thanks Dalek. It looks like AA posting speeds are somewhat variable at the moment.

Sent an email to [email protected] some 7 days ago

Still waiting !

About to send RR a PM but reading the posts here I would wait another week then.

AA flight was on 31st Oct.

I have been waiting 2 months and a day for SC and points on a MH flight that was booked as part of a Qantas booking. Spoke to FF last week and they are chasing up. Seems like MH don't like paying out on the points. I might book Air asia next time in Malayasia as they are cheaper and not worry about the points etc

Waiting for an AA flight to credit from 03 November (class O). Lodged a claim on the QF website. This is the longest wait by a large margin for any partner flight to credit.

What do you mean by this? I thought O was eligible. (Indeed are any AA flight classes not eligible?). I too am waiting (over a month now - even though my Qantas FF number was on my AA boarding pass). I've sent an email to [email protected].

O was not eligible until 1st of August his year.

If not, it is now, along with a few other classes since then..

As for online claims, AA was not an option until some time this year.

Yes. You can put a partner claim in on the QF website. Still waiting for any response however......

I had the same issue with Malaysian Airlines flghts I had been waiting 6 weeks for. i rang the FF number they said to email in the Boarding passes and 5 days later tyhe points AND MORE IMPORTANTLY the STATUS CREDITS were in my account. I don't think it is Qantas' fault that there are delayswith the partners posting

Still waiting for my AA flights of 9 and 12 November to post.

My membership year ends on 31 December. If the flights don't post by then, and I wait until January to make a (successful) claim, will the status credits count towards 2013 or 2014, I wonder? I would rather they credited to 2014 to give me a head start (of a mere 35 status credits) towards 2014. So, if delaying my claim means they might benefit my 2014 status credit accumulation, I think that I might wait before chasing up the posting of the flights. I guess I have nothing to lose in waiting until early 2014, since a claim can be made up to 12 months after the flights. (Now that I have said this, the flight will probably automatically post and thwart my plan!)

And, yes, AA flights can be claimed online. However, I won't be able to claim one of my flights online, as the origin airport (MOB) is not in the drop down list!

The SC's will count toward the "year"in which you flew ... In this case, 2013.
Thanks serfty. I had a feeling that that was the likely case.

At the extreme, it makes it interesting though where somebody retrospectively claims a flight 11 months after the flight, especially where that flight was taken near the end of a membership year. Crediting to a membership year that ended 11 months earlier is an interesting exercise.

As red roo noted, 10-14 days is pretty much the standard for partner transactions - especially in the case of CX.

CX only process their points ledgers every second week (odd weeks from memory), so flying in an even week means the points could be up to two weeks away.

And whilst not getting points quickly is a pain, it's something you have to live with. If you're needing the points for something, then you should have planned ahead for that eventuality just in case they didn't credit in time.
