The hug was an enormously successful and well used emoticon in the previous software
The AFF community is quite close and caring and the icon was extensively used as an expression of warm
inclusive sympathy among friends.
Please reconsider.. and bring back the Hug...

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

I'll take this thread under advisement, but best practice is to "like" – or anything else – the first post instead of replying. Replies with ideas are great, but I'll look at the number of reactions a post gets to prioritise my time... along with anything else I have ongoing as well of course.

On the subject of what icon, which I do encourage discussion of, it is important to note that many of the icons @serfty has posted are not free for us to use. I have to choose carefully to make sure I am not stealing someone's work.

A further consideration is to keep the reactions in line with either what is the standard look and feel, or what was available before. This lead me to the two icons that were enabled yesterday. I do not want to have a wild mix of icons that don't resemble each other.

As @support has said, 'like' the first post to record an opinion. Lots of posts in the thread, but at the moment only 6 'likes'.

Oh, I 'liked' the OP which as a mod must be worth a million 'likes' or so! ;)

Vote early and vote often, I say.
