Today I have found that my QFF status has dropped from Platinum One to Lifetime Gold, not the expected Platinum level.

I was Platinum One for 2015 (my anniversary is 31 December), during 2015 I did not fly QF very often due to work so my total Status Credits was less than 500 with about 10 QF eligible flights.

Does that mean that "soft landing" is not applicable to Platinum One anymore?

If a Platinum One member is unable to attain 3,600 Status credits (including a minimum 2,700 on QF marketed Flights) in their next membership year, they will be automatically reassessed to the Platinum level regardless how many status credits they earned. Hope this helps. :)

Doesn't sound right to me. It should be Platinum for at least one, if not two years after Platinum One.
You better contact QF and ask what happened with your status.

Are you 100% sure? There's a glitch with the way the new-style page displays status. What does it say if you look here?

For me, old style:

New style:

Wait a few days after anniversary date. It can take a few days to settle down to the correct indicator.

Thanks everyone for comments

Yes it is shown in the new style and confirmed as "Lifetime Gold"

I have tried to PM Red Roo to help.

Thanks everyone, I will call QFF
Yes, it displays Lifetime Gold in grey but the "Keep Platinum" is checked. The "Reach Platinum" is unchecked. So very likely I am still platinum?

In addition check the top of the page and it should show your CURRENT status like this.

Hi everyone,

I've called QFF and they confirm that I am still Platinum, very happy about it.

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions.

My anniversary finished 30/11 and like you about 3 days later my profile showed new status LTG......after wiping perspiration and a couple of anxious days my status changed to WP....

So I'm pretty sure you will be OK...

Out of interest what does the top of the page say when you are logged in to your QFF account?

I have just checked that on the top of the page it does say "Platinum Frequent Flyer" in small text.

It is completely my fault for not checking properly - maybe I was over-panicking as I have not seen this huge "Status Credit Lifetime Gold" in the middle of my login page for too many years (at Platinum/Platinum One level)

Thanks for giving me a minor heart attack NT2010...

But glad it worked out OK.

I dropped from P1 to WP a couple of years ago (having only earned gold level credits) and as others have said it would be a big surprise if this benefit (which can be of great value) was scrapped.
