To all the newly-minted Platinum One frequent flyers out there... I'm curious to hear... what's been your experience so far?

Anything different?

Free upgrades?

... or all hype?

I received the text, delivery today. In true P1 form, it arrived shortly after I left home. AusPost has offered the intriguing offer of leaving it in a safe place - a $300 bottle of champagne?
Not sure what your text says, however I have the option of collecting from a 24/7 parcel locker or post office.

Not to mention: "If nobody’s home to sign for your delivery, we’ll take it to a local Post Office and email you when it’s available to pick up."

It says reply ASAP with 1. Leave if there's a safe place, 2. Someone will be home, or 3. Take to a Post Office. The issue with the post office option is that they're only supposed to keep packages for a short period of time, although I've rung mine before and asked for an extension.

In my experience they have kept items requiring a signature at the post office for days, even up to a week.
However this has never been for wine or anything potentially sensitive to temperature (assuming it is wine this time round!)

No text and no email here. Mine must have gone special consignment via Sendle... :D

back to topic of QF/Big Data... it could well be that QF are the Masters of Data... they know all about us.. but as some have suggested.. they just don't care enough...

Just received my AusPost notification from Hatcher - I'm in VIC. Scheduled to arrive between 04DEC and 06DEC.

Looking forward to hearing what others receive!

A nice touch from QF - a bottle of Piper Heidsieck Rare Champagne 2002. The note from AJ references being an 'original P1 member'. In the bottom right hand corner it includes the QF FF# and "L2". Like last year there a different variants of the P1 card.
Looks great! What are the other variants on the card?

Not bad...

Have to say it’s very impressive

for the conspiracy theorists amongst us L1 on the envelope

It does look very impressive indeed! Perhaps the bling reminds me more of Emirates than QF, but again, love the look. Hopefully I can somehow intercept my delivery quietly, scratch the QF stuff, and give it to my wife for Christmas :)

Received my text message this afternoon! Delivery due tomorrow. Sydney based and first year of P1.
