P1 saves the day again. Still think the best perk is what they do under irops.
QF1 horribly delayed connecting onto a *A flight today
They endorse the ticket to fly QF-MH directly to my destination. One phone call. 20 mins. Better routing and arrive earlier. Same number of status credits.
Pretty happy with the loyalty now...

Received upgrade flexi economy to business......
Asked for paper boarding pass and no comments.
So not really sure who the upgrade came from!

Consistent inconsistency at work again?
Can I ask with these mysterious upgrades do they occur on reward flights too (eg a QF dom flight in Y) or is it only paid flights?
I’m curious as my only Int travel is via Perth on to London where I’m already in J (yes I know I’m lucky) and so the only flights where I have a class above me would be domestic
They’d probably choose revenue P1 passengers ahead of P1s on reward flights one would think. The numbers of solo P1 passengers would vary quite a bit depending on the route, time of day/week etc. That said, I see no reason why a reward flight couldn't or wouldn't be chosen.
