Platinum access DOHA lounges for guests

I am traveling with my wife to Milan on qatar airways in a few weeks, I am travelling D - Business Business SYD - Doha - Milan. My wife has a ECONOMY(T) on the same flights.

a) I am assuming she will have access as a guest with me to the 'real' Business class Lounge in Doha based on my QF Platinum status? I have been reading that there are the Al Mourjan Business Lounge and another lesser business lounge and that rules have just changed on who is eligible for what lounge.

b) My wifes sister may be on the same flights SYD - DOH - Milan in Economy - if she is, I can have her as a guest at QF 1st class in Sydney based on Pl status - does anyone know if the 2 guest policy applies to partner airlines like QATAR?

Firstly, I don't think there are any other airlines "like" Qatar. They are quite unique in my experience.

They also aggressively police entry to the Al Mourjan lounge, so I imagine they won't allow 2 guests. If not, you might be able to use your status to guest 2 people into the "First Class Lounge" which isn't really too bad, but it can be very crowded.

I was there a couple of months ago and my business class travelling companion was refused entry, as they said he was using a staff ticket (he was a travel agent).

The answer is no to both of your questions.

You need a business ticket to get into the Al Mourjan lounge - no guests. Your Platinum status can get you and a guest into the lesser quality "First Class Lounge".

You can only bring two guests into domestic lounges. Only 1 adult guest is allowed for international lounges.

I've only ever used the Al Mourjan Lounge at DOH as I've always been travelling J and solo.

My brother, a recently-minted WP, and his SG wife are passing through DOH on QR PER-xDOH-LHR in a few months in whY with SIL's mother (no status).

What lounge, if any, will they all be able to use?
