Places by LeClub Facebook Ap

I've been using this ap on Facebook for a couple of months now. For those who aren't aware, it gives you the ability to earn additional LeClub points by checking in via the ap when you're staying at a hotel. The hotel then verifies your stay and you earn badges. They don't seem to be a lot of points but I guess all points add up.

First check-in badge = 50 points
3 x Novotels = 200 points

There are lots of other badges but you don't find out how many points they earn until you earn them. You can set the ap so that none of your friends see the check-ins, like all facebook aps you manage who can see the activity.

I'll keep posting what other badges earn. Does anyone else have experience with it?

I downloaded the app on my iPhone but I always forget to check-in during my stay

Next week I'm booked for a short break at the Fairmont Resort in Leura and this time I put a reminder in my calendar - agree it's not a lot of points but I think if you stay across different brands and earn more badges they do add up...

Agree. It has taken me a while to start remembering but I think the points will add up. I'm up to 550. Latest badge is a Fan badge for staying at 5 different properties. 300 points

Started using this in 2013 when I had a few back to back stays. Use the checkin feature on the app, not the general Facebook checkin. It seems to be a bit hit and miss picking up the checkin otherwise. I missed out on few stays because of that.

Criteria for badges also seems to be a bit hit and miss also: 3x Nototel and 3x Mercure stays registered "OK" but have not awarded badges. Perhaps because one was a "Suite" Novtotel and one was a "Grand" Mercure...?

BTW, Cosmopolite badge (5 stays / 3 countries) is 200.

Latest badges:

I tried to use the Places App in Facebook today but it doesn't seem to work... anyone else having this problem?

They've re-done it... I find it takes a long long time to load. When it does it looks different. But it does still work, maybe try and use a computer if possible? Validations seem to be slower though, waiting on one 7 days and another 5 days.

I have check-ins from the beginning of September that are still showing as "Pending"... seriously ??? :shock:

I still can't get this to work on the iPhone, and when I use it on the iPad it can take up to 5 minutes to load. Why, Accor, is technology always a fail for you?

This "upgrade" has been a complete fail. Agree with you, I have stays awaiting verification since August 18

Has anyone had any luck with the app recently? I have had zero success today. A tad frustrating with a couple to stays coming up.

It does work if you are patient. I find I have to reload at each step a number of times before it works. I had a check-in late Nov that worked and was then validated a week later. Badges and points are working too

I've made it past login twice and no further than the permission to access friends list and email address.

The blue "Via Facebook" box is a button. You need to click on it, I find often it doesn't do anything. Keep clicking different spots, if it doesn't work refresh the page and then try again. It is maddening but I just tried and was able to get in. Once it does work the page will change and you'll see a loading wheel until it takes you through to your profile
