Hi all I'm just wondering if any of you have traveled on Singapore F on a day flight do they give you PJ's. We are flying Melbourne to Singapore one the 777-300. Or is it like the Singapore to Hong Kong flight just an ammenities pack.

In the past we have flown at night time with Singapore F.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Wayne, I'm flying A380 F tomorrow morning SYD-SIN (then onto MUC and MAN on 777) so I will find out and update the thread.

They may give them out based on final destination as well I guess ?

I'm sure if they didn't you could always ask for them if you needed them.
I've opted for Book The Cook as well - looking forward to Lobster on a plane. The last time I flew F on Thai they ran out of lobster as it was the standout dish and everyone ordered it.

On another topic, the wifi on the 777 is charged differently to A380 (flat rate versus based on consumption).

All the best

Dave

Hi

I'm a regular on SQ217, which is a daytime SIN - MEL flight. And can confirm that the PJ is given out for this flight. So I will assume that you'll get one on the daytime MEL - SIN flight as well :)

Enjoy your flight!

I love book the cook the best thing I have had was the duck curry, and the caviar with Krug is a winner thanks Dave and enjoy the flight.

With regard the wifi, the last two times I was on the a380 it did not work. And the 777 was night flight to Singapore then on the 380 to Zurich so I did not notice the cost sorry.

Thanks for the info Mr Cruier I had a look at the post lots of good info and amazingly Long, again thanks for your help.
wayne bourke and others - here is a snip from SIA Feedback which clearly explains PJs and Amenity Kit distribution to Suites and First Class passengers:
Turning to amenities, we would like to share that sleeper suits and toiletry kits are presented to Suite and First Class passengers depending on the departure time and block time. Amenities are handed out for day flights (departing between 0600-1800 hours) with a block time of 7 hours or more, including flights from Singapore to Tokyo. Amenities are also handed out for night flights (departing between 1800-0600 hours) with a block time of 3.5 hours or more, where the arrival time is past 0030 hours. These guidelines were put in place more than ten years ago.

Those rules have been around for a long time. They used to be published on the website.

SQ had a red-eye CMB-SIN service leaving at 1am or so (about 3 hours actual flying) but still qualified for PJs and amenities because it met the 'after 0030' arrival time.
