I know there are a few PJ-related threads but couldn't quite find the info I'm looking for!
Does anyone know if the trusty ol' pjs are provided in business for flights Brisbane to Narita (QF61) and Narita to Brisbane (QF62)?

61 is a day flight and 62 a night flight. Both just over 9 hours.

Thank you!

QF offer PJs only on night flights in J so you will get them flying NRT-BNE but not on the day flight ex-BNE.

You could've had mine from a QR flight a couple of days ago. Can't see the point in them actually. Just left them on the plane.

Each to their own I guess! I think they're super comfy - I'm wearing a pair right now! Also great not having to pack pjs in your luggage when they're available on the flight. I never wear them onboard though...

Yeah. Unfortunate cost cutting. Because no one snoozes on day flights. No one wants to arrive with crease-free clothes. No one spills any food or drink during day flights. (My last flight to HKG the guy in the forward cabin had red wine all down his shirt. Dunno if crew or pax cause. Not pretty.)

Hasn't it been a case of the PJ's being provided on night flights only for donkeys?

It's been a while. But there's no logic behind it. Same as QF not spending 25c on slippers for Asian flights. They claim they know the Asian market but won't spend a couple dollars on something as basic as that (and yes, my Chinese friends notice the lack of amenities).

Funny you mentioned QR. Flew DOH-CDG with them last year in F. It was an early morning departure for 7 hours flight so I assumed PJs will be provided (EK & EY do but they also have showers on their A380s while QR don't so I shouldn't compare). Anyway, couldn't believe they will not offer PJs for this flight so I came unprepared with no clothes to change.
Took a nap for few hours, as one would do on their comfy beds and woke up with my shirt all wrinkled like it was just out of the dryer. Not only that but also sleeping in jeans is not the most comfortable thing...

I always have a pair of pyjamas in my carry on for such circumstances, also good for accidental wine or food spillages. I wear QF on daytime QF flights and BA or EK on other carriers, just not wanting to walk around a non-QF aircraft with a large kangaroo emblazoned on me. The BA F pyjamas are most comfortable.

yes very strange QR get the sleep wear so wrong, when they get everything else so right. the sizing in the J pj's is crazy

Is it ever the case that when they're not handed out you can generally ask for a pair (and expect to receive some)?

I asked for a pair on a day flight to Asia a couple months ago. Request politely declined.

If you promise / threaten to sleep in ONLY your jocks will they quickly find you something to change into? :)

I intentionally wear another airlines PJs on the airline I am on... keeps the crew on edge a bit, and the service seems a little more attentive (DYKWIA?) :p
