Now if a passenger was to complain of immediate on-set food poisoning, and be the only person to suffer from it, I don't have to think too long whether the airline would accept responsibility or not.

Am I juvenile for instantly thinking of Captain Oveur and co-pilot Murdock?

And here was I thinking that it must have been wonderfully peaceful in the coughpit.

So with the flight crew having different meals, does this concept extend to the drinks as well?

Having worked as a chef and as a hospitality professional for about 15 years. (My younger days).

One thing I learnt in hygiene and food safety, was even the most virulent form of food poisoning takes 2 to 4 hours to present symptoms. Its extremely ...no, its impossible the food she consumed on board caused the vomiting.

And actually , some of the worst types of food poisoning can take 3 to 4 days for any sign of illness.

That fits in with what I've been told a number of times over the years. It's the meal you had in the hotel, not the one on the aircraft, that causes the problems.

That is it!

So often I hear people complain of food poisoning, and only think of the last meal they had.

Most of the time, guesstimate... 75%, its the meal you had previously.

Unless it was a preformed toxin. Which although less likely is certainly not impossible. Particularly with chicken or seafood.
