Hi all!

I think I know why accommodation in coughet for July 2015 is such good value! Its rainy season?!!!
Has anyone been there at that time of year? Is it worth going then, or will we get totally fed-up with the humidity?
Thanks all

I've been there twice in June & July. From memory, it rained (ok, sometimes it bucketed down) for maybe an hour or so in the afternoons. Didn't really bother us too much because it was hot & humid and getting wet was cool and refreshing.

I have been twice in July...can rain very heavily at times! Tip: don't go to Phi Phi Island when it is bucketing down, either cancel or reschedule:) Having said that, you can have sunny days so I would still go in July!

I deliberately go there in the off season now as everything is so much cheaper , the afternoon rains are no big deal. Being Accor Plat there are also a few decent places to stay.

Haven't been to coughet in 11 years. Went in November 2003 and it rained heavily for all 4 days including all day for long boat, fishing village, Andaman and Phi Phi Island.

Think of going to Krabi instead for golf. There's a Holiday Inn reasonably priced.

Mrs Chooms and I were in coughet (Patong and Cape Panwa) for two weeks early July this year.

Mostly perfect weather the entire trip, except for some showers late in the afternoons for maybe two days. The final day was pretty much constant rain.

It was excellent... both resorts were half empty and beaches no where near as crowded and the warm weather was great to escape to during winter.

Highly recommend Amari coughet, but get a room in the new Ocean Wing with a view.

If you have to go to Thailand in July you could go to Koh Samui on the East Coast as it's not wet season there until Dec/Jan.
