On my recent qf1 flt, crew were very personable & chatty. I asked if they would put my name which I go by as address. They told me I was down as 'true Qantas advocate'. I was happy with that. I am one of those QF no matter what.

I've never asked. Probably down to fear of it saying something like "Complains over small things but is very loyal" or even getting the response "who are you again?"

There have been a few threads on pax who have seen their info on ipads.

I'm curious as to what you have done or said and where that would lead to that outcome. I would say I fall into the pretty much the same bracket, but don't think I've ever had any exceptionally different experience from others in a cabin I've been in.

Probably mainly comments i have made in here. Ive had a few service failures that i complained in here about that the old Red Roo had sorted out for me. One included a personal apology from the CSM on my return flight. So "guy who complains a lot".
But i do really love flying QF. One of my friends says im addicted and that im crazy to think about flying separately from everyone else just so i can go via QF.

Not directly related to the iPad system, but recently flew QFLink on an all-economy 717 AYQ-ASP and before takeoff I was offered a beverage from the galley, as were my travelling companions. No one else on the plane was offered something, we were in row 1, but there were others across the aisle. Assumed there must have been something on the manifest :p

Have been thinking about this sort of thing and wondering if they can put anything much in there other than maybe what drink you prefer.

A question for the QF rep, what controls around privacy are there if the crew of any aircraft you get on has access to info that might be wrong?

I dont think we as customers are meant to see it.
Many organisation keep private notes on customers what may or may not be wrong.
My first job was a pizza hut call centre and we had notes on customers. If someone called up and we had a note on file that said "prank caller, do not take order" we wouldnt take the order. Even if the guy said he just moved in.

There was another thread very recently that discussed these issues with respect to customer profiles, and whether or not pax are able to request to know what info airlines etc record against them.

See here

and here.

All I can think is I always take chocolate for the crew on international. They are always very appreciative. I didn't want to say this in original post as I know how some think about this. I simply do it as a thank you, no other reason. AND QF is always my first choice. The medical emergency with my daughter last week & the excellent way it was handled by QF in-flt crew & domestic operation staff reinforced my appreciation.
