Bit confused as to how to proceed. I qualified to bestow Partner Gold during my previous Status Credit year but am yet to grant it - and I think the deadline is April 2017. So far this year I've earnt 1,371 SCs which has me thinking I've earnt Partner Gold again (or have I? Is it 800 + 500 or 1,000 + 500?). My year ticks over in July.

I'd like to grant the first Partner Gold to my wife, who is NB with only occasional flying. I'm wondering if the 2nd SG might make her WP? And then there is the situation with my father. He is sitting on 1,000+ SCs earned by flying SIA, but has zero sectors with VA meaning he has no status at all (and annoyingly, despite my pleading his last flight was with TT!). Father's year will tick over in Nov and all those SCs will be for naught.
If I could grant SG to my wife now and again in 12 months, that seems a good option, dad can look after himself. Thoughts or tips?
