I do recall seeing a group checkin desk open at Sydney Airport on my last Pacific Blue flight a few months ago.. It was located next to the premium checkin desk.
 
I know OOL doesn't, there was a large Asian tour party (60)using the standard check-in last week. I took a group of 6 mates with me though premium check-in no problems.
