Has anyone over the past maybe 12 months or so, maybe 18 months, gone on the OW website and made a multi airline in the OW alliance booking for multi city stopovers?
Eg:
ADL - MEL (QF), MEL - SIN (QF), SIN - HND/NRT (JL), HND/NRT - HKG (JL/CX), HKG - ADL (CX)
About 2.5 years ago, or so, the OW website had the ability to make one way round the world bookings.
I had only just hovered over that website, it had a map of the world where you could put red dots on cities you were keen on stopping over.
Seems its now been removed.
Aside from going to a live agent TA/OTA to do it, of course.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Everytime I do it quotes ~$12K for Y and ~$25K for J. I gave up on it.

Thanks Kiwi_Flyer, just had a look see.
The link from Google search lead to an oops, but your link is the right one.
Argh, :( (must be) at least 10 days and 3 continents minimum.
There goes my thought bubble.
Back to direct ADL - HKG - HND and back with CX.
My planned trip is only over 4/5 days and 2 continents.

More importantly your itinerary isn't around the world - need to visit North or South America and Europe/Middle East or Africa. The short duration can easily be dealt with by including NZ with a long stopover and nesting a separate cheap NZ-Australia return, or alternatively a long stopover in Asia and nesting a separate Asia-Australia return.

I think Poochie is constrained by the time he has available to fly.

That tool is a planner to work out legal itineraries but I don't think it ever let you actually book the fare.

Sorry, just found out that the link by one of our esteemed colleagues, on another thread, while leading to what I am looking at, on the OW website, needs a minimum of 10 days spread from departure to returning, and needs to have 3 continents.
My plan would be too short, as to time of travelling, and I will only be going 2 continents, not 3.
Thanks for your replies everyone.
About another 1* more years to retirement, (yes, I know they say don't put your age on the net)...
So, not too long to go, when I would be able to make it 3 continents worth, if OW still exist by then, and who knows, we might have supersonic planes again.
Edit: yea, maybe round the world isn't really it, but similar, did try QF multi city stopovers, but CX never appears on the HKG - ADL sector, of the QF website, though the CX flight does exist, some days, it arrives into ADL right at 10.30pm, enough time to sleep and then get back to work next morning.
