I was checking the online mall points reward status of my most recent Woolworth's online order.

It was the first one to have a status of declined, even though I had not bought any gift cards or cigarettes, nor had I returned any of the items I purchased.

Declined status is defined on the mall as follows :-
  • Declined - The store has informed us that this order (or part of your order), is not eligible to earn Qantas Points. It may not be eligible because you have purchased a non-eligible product, such as a Gift Card, or because you have returned or cancelled a product. Please see the individual store’s Terms & Conditions for more information.
I did notice, however, that for the first time ever there was the now obligatory plastic bag charge. I talked with Woolworth's support and they confirmed that the bag charge does not earn QFF points.

I logged a support ticket with the online Mall and it was rectified with 30 minutes.

Wanted to let you all know in case you are missing out on points.

Fortunately it was resolved fast enough that I didn't have to fly into a bag rage :)

Resolved so quickly? You must have caught them on a good day.
I recently did a Woolworths order through the online mall and did not receive the confirmation e-mail so I guess I'll be missing out this time! :/
It will be annoying to chase the point through Woolworths/Online Mall support though, I imagine those with less time to follow up on these matters will simply assume the points will be posted and not check.

The $1 flat fee for Click and collect is a quite a rort when most in store collections require less than 7 bags ( ie 15 cents per bag x 7 = $1.05).

I too have noticed a few Woolies transactions on the Qantas Mall transaction history show as declined, although when i drill down i can see one value in declined, the same value is marked as pending. - Transactions to watch, no doubt.

Will the QFF service centre be able to handle this one ? ;)

I put a note at the end of my shopping list that I will bring my own bags and would like my $1 back. My store now places all my shopping in open cardboard boxes (the ones that the store receives bananas etc in) and they happily refund me $1 from the cash register.

I only just saw that WW supermarkets is on the mall site. Are people using this rather than the Rewards Card method?

I buy via the online mall and still use my wish cards to make payment (hopefully I haven't misunderstood your question).

Great suggestion, and dare i say Cardboard boxes are significantly better for the environment than the thick, made in germany, plastic bags being charged for.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Agreed. I crush them and put them in my recycle bin when finished. My Woolworths store has even offered to take the boxes back the next week and put them in their recycling should my bin get too full. They are a very helpful store.
