Hi All! Will be travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore to Sydney on MH then QF in the near future. Was planning on interlining bags and connecting in Singapore. However, I was wondering I should check in for the Qantas leg online? Or will that prevent MH from interlining the bags all the way to Sydney? I'd prefer to check in online as I have no status and cannot select a seat prior to check in. Would it be better not to check in online, and purchasing advance seat selection?

You should be fine. The bags should be able to tag the bag all the way to Sydney if you're on the one PNR.

They're not on one PNR. I recall MH interlining previously without flights being on the same booking. Regardless, seeing as both QF and MH are in OneWorld now I assumed there'd be no issue with the seperate booking. I've just never tried online check-in and interlining before.

You might need to point out to them where you final destination is so they tag your bag correctly. OLCI shouldn't be an issue.
