Tried calling the call center over 5x the past few days. Havent managed to speak to anyone. Its always been leave a message and we will contact u.

Any other ways in contacting the award redemption center? Or do you guys fill out the online form with dates/airlines etc and wait for them to get back to u?

I always call in the early hours of the morning in Hong Kong. Never had an issue getting through to someone then.

Are you calling the HK number or the Australian number or is it the same thing?

I just rang and got the standard we are very busy please call later response before they hung up on me.

I'm just trying to do a seat allocation for a QF award (flying CX) booking. The allocated seats are about as far apart as is possible.
 
Can't you log in and allocate them on the CX website? I know I was able to do that using the booking reference given to me by QF last time I had a booking.

There are some fare classes that allow free seat allocation on CX, and some that do not. But I think even an Economy class QF booked award flight with CX would have MMB seat allocation (you need your PNR).

For redemptions, I'm usually still transiting HK when I book so it is the HK number.

My last seat request was for two CX flights booked under AY codes and I used the MPC Green/Silver/Gold line at 7:30am HK time and had only about a 5 minute wait until the call was answered. Spent longer on hold waiting for the CSO to try and get them to stick.

X class on CX only gets free seat selection with status (oneworld ruby and above).
