Can someone help me, please.

When I search SIN-LHR, I can see there is a HKG-LHR First class CX255 available, inside this 1stop transit trip.
But when I search direct HKG-LHR, I do not see this CX255 first class ticket anymore, via qantas online search tool.

If I call qantas, and book round the world ticket over the phone, will the staff on the phone be able to select this CX255 first class for me or not?

Most likely married segment availability which means it's only available from SIN but not HKG so the answer is no. If you want to post what date that screenshot is for then I can check if it is married availability or not.

my search for SIN-LHR its on 11 May 2020, so that would be 00:25AM 12th May 2020 for the CX255.

It's married segment availability. Only available when transiting via HKG and not originating from HKG.
 
Need help with horror situation.

Yesterday I spent over 5 HOURS in webchat trying to get a QR flight added to my booking - and it almost cost me the seats. The lady in the chat wanted to argue with me about availability when I could see it. Eventually, she magically found some availability and booked me the flight. But that was only after she argued with me for another hour about the OWA limit being 15000miles which is why we couldn't see availability.

Now I am trying to move up a pre-existing flight FCO-DOH to the day before, to ensure that the stop at DOH counts as a stopover (which I need it to). Everyone keeps telling me that there is no availability despite it being clearly bookable on the website. I'm not picky, I'm happy to take any of the planes there.

Some have agreed that I can make a singular booking of the flight, but I'm not able to add it to my existing one. When I brought up the issue that it could be a married segment they fobbed me off. The last call centre operator I was on the phone to moment ago was incredibly rude to me, and after 'going away to check' something for 20mins, HUNG UP on me after I asked for the justification. I knew he was there, he just went silent for a while, typed on his computer, and then hung up. After an immediate call back I'm now in another 30min queue.

If I am able to make the single booking both ways, then there needs to be a way for me to book both within this booking. How can they justify refusing to give me a ticket that is clearly there? Any help? I think I've gone past a total of 10 HOURS in SMS chat, online chat, and RUDE CS call centres.

Desperate. What magic words do I need to say to them to make them understand?

But I was trying to understand what the issue was?

I am hoping to book SYD-DOH soon and then add DOH-JMK the next day when it becomes available - do you think I will run into trouble with this scenario?

Battymum - I wasn't able to tell this until I attempted it. Perhaps others know how?

If at all possible, and they are available, I'd suggest to your service operator that they try to rebook it as a single long flight if your original plan appears to be blocked. I.e SYD - JMK via DOH. QR didn't want to explain why that block was there, or how to get around it. It was only that I came up with a creative alternative with an operator who was willing to try it out for me. Good luck!

This week I got SYD-DOH, and then called to add DOH-CDG next day, no problems. (Was holding my breath though)

My plan is if the QR909 is still available on the previous night of my preferred departure I will take that and should be able to book right through.
If not I will take QR907 and the 8hour layover.

yeah, need to be quick with the "leave it and book right thru", the 909 goes pretty quickly next day sometimes.
I needed the 907 as 10y.o. daughter wants to go in the 'family suite'...Qsuites.
Not sure she realises we have an 8hr DOH layover because of it :p

This is at least the fourth time in this thread that members have reported being told by QF that an otherwise available award flight cannot be added into existing itinerary but can be booked as a new, standalone itinerary. This is very concerning with significant ramifications given it's often impossible to book the whole award in one go.

Generally if you cant see them on the QF website they cant be booked by QF

It may be award availability that is not released to partners by Royal Jordanian

Have you checked another OW partner website like BA, JAL or AA?

So i just checked QF (SG) and also checked BA and the only availability i see on both websites in J is QR obvioulsy via DOH

I believe it’s always worth asking but don’t be surprised if it’s No. I know some QF seats don’t show on BA website for example. I don’t know if they can be booked by BA members or not. QF doesn’t show all IB availability but I have asked and been able to book them.
 
Evening All

Doing lots of dummy bookings for my initial Oneworld Classic Flight Award and May have come up against a problem.
When I look at a single booking using flexible with dates it shows availability beyond the Qantas - 353 days eg JAL at - 360 days. Is this actually bookable online?

If I use the multi- sector option I can only book -353 days and by that time the sectors that were available are no longer available. If the answer to my first point is yes then can I call Qantas (heaven forbid) and book two or more sectors at greater than the -353.

For RJ, you often have to split the search. Have you tried a multi-city search: KUL-AMM, then AMM-ATH?
