In Oz, we can only hope that we are allowed out of the country next year. But, I’m making plans anyway, regardless of mixed messages from the Oz Government.
 
I have done a few of these. The best that I’ve had was probably booking five segments on-line, before the system crashed, although there have been reports from others that they have managed more than that. I’ve experienced this issue over the past several years at least.

Edit: I plan to start on another 318,000 point award in the next few weeks, so will see how that goes.

I've 'booked' lots of these, 12+ segments and gone to the payment screen to get taxes. Does the error occur after that? I've never actually needed to payment (so far).

Confident no, hopeful yes. Currently there are no fees for changing or cancelling award flights so why not give it a go?

You have done very well.

My crashes have happened early in the booking process. I’ve never raised it with the Call Centre as I’m unsure of their interest or ability to do anything. It would seem to be an IT issue. Anyway, I will see how my next 318,00 points award goes in a few weeks.

My apologies, I didn’t mean to imply that you’re answer was incorrect or deficient...
I was just making the “2 OW carriers in addition to QF” rule absolutely explicit because the question included the phrase “... book each segments individually with Qantas...” (which raised the possibility that the forum member might not be fully conversant with all of the rules*).

* But of course they may be...
Is it QF + 2? I flew CX, BA and QR on my last OWA. Not a flying kangaroo at all!

It's that that leaves me without confidence, plus uncertainty about the state of countries I want to visit along the way.

Yes, I agree with you both - my sloppy wording unfortunately. The person posing the question seemed to have multiple QF sectors already in mind, which turned my thinking to ensuring that there was the other 2 carriers added...

To quote the Book of Rules:
14.5.1 A oneworld Classic Flight Reward is a Classic Flight Reward Itinerary that includes travel on at least two oneworld Member Airlines other than Qantas and does not include any travel on any airline that is not a oneworld Member Airline.

Of course, if the OP is a member of Points Club that may explain the inclusion of "multiple QF sectors", although I may be getting a little ahead of things if, as others have suggested, the OP is a novice at these itineraries.

Of course, @nightelves is welcome to post a preferred itinerary and we will all try to assist.

People were feeling confident last year that international travel would be open for sure second half of this year. So here we are, second half of this year…

I started building a J OWCA itinerary in mid August 2019 (yes, nearly 2 years ago...), to start travel in late August 2020. That was before the points cost went up from 280k to 318k.
I‘ve been adding and deleting sectors on that itinerary every 4 to 6 months since then. So far that seems to have preserved its ‘pre price rise’ status, as it is still capping out at 280k points... 😺
Even though it seems a bit futile from an actual getting to travel perspective, I’m getting lots of practice at researching & booking (& waiting on hold)...

Does anyone know if the area that issues the tickets is open 24/7 or closes. A CSO told me it was only open 7:00am to 7:00pm. I don't know if that's true or they told me that to shut me up.

I don't know for sure but was also told the same thing last time I tried to get ticketing done on a weekend.

Sounds familiar, for manual ticketing.
 
Quick "3 airline" question. If I book a leg (Budapest to Toronto) that goes BA, BA, AA does that count as two airlines used or does a whole leg need to be on a separate carrier?
