On the 6th of April SWMBO and myself flew Club World/QF J combination to Brussels (obviously for the extr SC's :rolleyes:), So we flew BA16 to SIN on to QF9 to LHR and then BA to BRU. In SYD we got priority tags and our bags were first of in Brussels so all good and happy. When checking in for our return the 15th the check in lady did not put any priority tags on so I inquired why she did not put them on, I thought she just forgot but she said "BA does not offer Priority Baggage even for 2 OWE pax travelling in J". I thought this strange but wasn't feeling too fresh as we had attended a wedding the night before. Flew to BKK for a one night break in the trip and offcourse all the bags that came first on the belt are Priority tagged and had to wait about 25 minutes for our bags to appear as third last. Not too happy about this I emailed BA customer relations and indeed no Priority bags on BA anymore;

Dear Mr ozmille

I am sorry you are disappointed that we don't offer a priority bag service. Thank you for your email.
As so many passengers fell under the priority bag "umbrella", the service just wasn't working. Also, we aim to have first to last bag on the carousel out within 35minutes, so it didn't seem necessary. I'm afraid we haven't offered this service for a while. I am sorry.
Once again thank you for your email.

Best regards

When I replied stressing that I did get the tags on the outbound and that there had been other priority tags on the belt at BKK some 25 minutes before my bag arrived I got following response

Dear Mr ozmille

Thank you for your email.

Some of our outstations do have priority tags left over from when we used them, they will sometimes use them on bags making connecting flights. Whilst it is good if it works, as it is a service we don't offer, passengers can be let down when it doesn't. What they have done has obviously caused confusion, and isn't very consistant. For this reason, I have emailed the airport manager and asked them to advise staff to stop using the left over tags.
I am not sure why bags first to the carousel at Bangkok were tagged. I can only presume that all of the tagged bags had been put in the same container, which was the first container unloaded. We can't guarentee this will always happen, as it isn't a service we offer anymore.
Thank you again for contacting us.

Best regards

Interesting and quite disappointing I thought after seeing it work in both BRU and BKK and sorry if you don't get priority tags on BA flights anymore after this :(

laugh. i doubt an agent who can't even spell consistent has any clout with an airport manager!
