Will be interesting to see how this relates to local operations:

Entertainment Promotions was acquired by Indiana-based private equity firm MH Equity Investors in 2008 for $36 million. The company, founded in 1962, publishes the Entertainment coupon book, a compilation of coupons for local services and restaurants frequently sold as fundraisers by schools and youth groups. The books and other promotions are distributed in 149 markets throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Australia and New Zealand. According to the Entertainment Promotions website, the company has 520 employees, including 240 in Troy.

Hi markis10 . I buy wish cards from them . Does this mean these purchases may not be honoured ? . Should we delay purchasing wish cards until more details emerge ? . Do you know of a good replacement for buying wish cards in NSW ? . Thanks for starting this thread .

I would put off buying for now until things have a bit more clarity, it's entirely possible the local office is a separate entity that is not affected. if your looking at getting Wish cards, look at becoming an associate member of the RAC WA, cost is $29, I source my cards from them and allows me legally to use the AA discount at hotels!

I would advise caution... we don't know whether the local entertainment book company could follow them into bankruptcy, (I don't think they will, but that's a guess). But if they do, depending how gift card sales Are handled.... could get messy.

As for redeeming vouchers etc in the us. I don't think it should really affect anything.

I just recieved an email giving bonus offers if I purchased a new 2013-2014 book for $65 before 3rd March . Is it a sign .

They always offer bonus offers if you buy early . . . it consists of a sheet of coupons, which may (or may not) be of use, and have an early expiry date.

Agree with BindiBratz, even after purchasing you could recieve bonus discounts; usually only after registering the membership card number online.
