I'm trying to book a points ticket to Japan... is there an issue with JL flights showing availability online?

Last week I booked online 2x J tickets for SYD-NRT for 12 Oct 2019 (I booked it 353 days out), but I'm looking at return dates on a day that seats should already have been released (330 days ahead, e.g. 16 Oct 2019), but all I can see are JQ, nothing on QF or JL.

If I call will that make a difference? Or are they just being snapped up quickly? BA doesn't seem to show anything at all...

Thanks,

L.

I'm not an expert on these matters, but just looked on expertflyer and the two direct flights (JAL NRT-SYD; and QF HND-SYD) for 16 Oct are showing up, but with zero reward seats available (best I can tell - I'm not too familiar with codes for JL).).

Rugby world cup is on during that time so they may not be releasing award seats or they are going straight away

Do Qantas hold back award seats at peak times?

I thought they were always consistent in the number of them available, they just went very quickly...

Do you know what time of day they're released, in case it is that they're going right away?

Every flight operation *can* have an individual profile for each selling class, including award seats.

Anecdotally, there are many flights (on popular routes) where J award inventory, at least, is zero. They are not alone in that.

To Gold and above, released 353 days out, for others 297 days out. I think its at midnight GMT, but I'm sure some-one will correct me!

10am Brisbane time rings a bell?

I'm sure Serfty will confirm release @ midnight UCT. 353 days

For JAL QF releases the awards 330 days out.Booked 2 JAL awards via QF just over a month ago.As daylight saving had started it was midday BNE time,1300 SYD time.I was on the computer waiting for midday to tick over.

Having the same issue and assume they're playing silly buggers due to RWC. I need to return on the 3rd, day after the final and struggling to find much, I have an F flight out of SIN to SYD, but now need to get from Tokyo to SIN
