Welcome to AFF!

There is much to be learned here!

Now, let's hear one of those jokes :)

welcome funnymummy,, you have certainly come to the right place to learn all about flying and status credits..

"no jokes here"

Welcome to AFF funnymummy!

Not exactly sure what you meant by Sydney international club - guessing the Business or First lounge? If so, then a Qantas lounge pass is for domestic lounges only - of course, I am more than happy to be correected, in a nice way, of course! Hmmm, many 'courses here' but none of them are coarse! Maybe I need to get off onto the gold coarse!

Hi funnymummy,

Welcome to AFF. :D

morning all - wanted to update you on my flight experience (good & bad) now i'm back.

left BNE queens birthday in the rain. QF staff were excellent. i can't believe how much the customer service has improved.

in syd, used transit bus from dom to intl - watched the rain pelt down- covered walkway to bus was a causeway-roof slanted into building and rain just pooled on path- on the journey btn terminals felt sad for pax whose suitcases were on the trolleys (uncovered) being driven past us - got entry into the QF international lounge at syd.

good flight to LAX - mindful of PAX in middle seat next row who often got up and down then dropping his seat back without any thought.

thankful that #1 son had told me how to transit in LAX to alaskan airlines. collect luggage - put in duty free hootch (or have it thrown out) - follow sign for transiting pax for luggage drop - did funny mother thing - explained to US immigration after lots of glances at me & my passport that my 8yr old port pic was different cause i had just become a granny and aged instantly- no sense of humor. collected luggage, all damp - opened up and it was wet through. not happy jan! advised QF by phone in YVR and advised to email customer service- did that - got automated reply- heard nothing since - alaskian flight & staff good - and complimentary drinks - only pay for alcohol.

return trip really good but would think twice abt transiting thru US given the 2 internal terminal transfers needed - thought next time might go thru HKG or Tokyo.

this time overnighted at parkroyal airport hotel in MELB really good & comfy with no aircraft noise

- next morning couldnt get an earlier QF flight without paying so waited- QF checkin chic went 'on and on' to pax in front with toddler abt luggage limits as she booked in stroller etc - and then did the same with me as i checked in my cabin bag as well - told her i was transiting and from US she demanded flight details etc to check - she needed a happy pill -

arrived in BNE to rain and still the same carpark -train -bus mess - absolutely the pits! to get out of the Dom terminal. now planning my next trips so any advise on status credits would be appreciated
