Hi

I've been browsing for a while but due to receiving some great info I thought I'd jump on and say thanks.

I travel for business and I've been a SG for a few years now. My international flights aren't with Qantas and my domestic legs are all discount economy but this year I'll finally crack WP with a lot of hard work and airtime around AUS.

I was going to fall short by 110 SC's this year, so with some forum searching I did the MEL-SYD-ASP return status run (in a day) to make up the gap (points and pay of course).

My last flight is Monday the 29th this month and my membership year finishes the day after. Due to the DSC promo I'm on my new balance will click over 1-2 days into my new year, which, from what this forum tells me, means I get WP for 2 years due to the loophole. All thanks to AFF!

Well done and thanks for the tips/exploits :D

I'll be very interested to see that loophole work ;)

Congrats & welcome!

Hi Burman,

Welcome to AFF.

Welcome to AFF Burman!

The only loophole for you to get Platinum Status for 2 years in your first 1-2 days is earn 1200 SCs in the first 1-2 days. Any SCs you have earned the previous membership year do not count in your new membership year regardless of when they post to your account.

Good luck anyway.
